Agnes Lidbeck

Agnes Lidbeck is one of Sweden’s most distinctive and accomplished contemporary writers. Since her acclaimed debut with Finna sig in 2017, she has established herself as a singular voice in Swedish literature, with a body of work that moves between fiction, theatre, essays and cultural commentary. Alongside her writing, she is a prominent presence in Sweden’s cultural life, appearing regularly on radio and television and contributing to the wider literary conversation. Her poetry, novels, and plays have been translated. She regularly participates in radio and television, such as Allvarligt talat, Spanarna, Babel’s authors’ panel, and as a Nobel Prize commentator. She is also a columnist and reviewer, and has been active at Göteborgsposten since 2023.
